ENDURO VINTAGE, LAST LIGHTS CLASSIC “TERRE ROUGE”
5Special ha dado comienzo a la temporada 2019 de motos ni más ni menos que en la campiña francesa. Volvemos al Last Light que llega este año en su edición “Terre Rouge” haciendo honor a un circuito de sabre rojizo que se dividía en dos zonas: una de enduro que transcurría entre árboles con subidas y bajadas en zig-zags; y otra de motocross con curvas peraltadas para poder dar mucho gas y zonas que permitían saltos largos. Un sitio perfecto donde probar nuestros viejos motores y hacer enduro.
5Special ha llegado a Francia para probar sus nuevas motos, la Honda CR125 Elsinore y la Yamaha IT425. El día se presentó impecable con altas temperaturas y muy buena compañía. En la carrera participaron tanto motos de 2 como de 4 tiempos, y tanto modelos clásicos del 60 hasta los 90 – haciendo honor a nuestra lucha por el enduro vintage – como modelos más modernos. Las motos de enduro se mezclaron con las motos de motocross, peleando potencia explosiva frente a máquinas mas progresivas y más fáciles de llevar aunque lastradas por un mayor peso.
Las tandas se fueron sucediendo hasta llegar a la hora de la barbacoa y por la tarde se realizó la cronometrada para disfrute de todos los participantes. Ahí estaban las motos clásicas como la Honda XL600 Paris Dakar de Paul Duvignau quien, a pesar del peso de su vehículo, consiguió superar los obstáculos demostrando ser una verdadera promesa en este tipo de pruebas. También vimos alguna Honda Dominator modificada y, por supuesto, la ya conocida Husqvarna 240VR de enduro de Regis Guyot – un piloto de referencia en este mundillo por su estilo y experiencia – o el modelo Husqvarna 400 (la primera en refrigeración de agua) de nuestro nuevo amigo Henri Audibert, nuestro Steve Mcqueen. Un gustazo ver la destreza en los saltos de Christophe Canitrot en su nueva Triumph Tunderbird 650 de 1956. La Honda XL y la XR siguen siendo apuestas seguras y se lucieron en el circuito. El organizador deste evento, Ivan Domingo de Rule Shaker, volvió a demostrar su pasión por esta disciplina con su Yamaha YZ 250 de 1987. También nuestro piloto Thomas Foreau pudo hacer pruebas con distintos vehículos, incluido una Kawasaky KX 60, demostrando que lo de menos es la máquina si eres un rider que sabe resolver.
La ausencia de problemas mecánicos y que no se produjera ninguna caída grave (sí algún salto fallido que se pudo solucionar en el último momento) consiguieron que el día se pasara muy rápido. Muy buenos pilotos en la pista y, una vez más, la familia 5Special se sintió en casa. De hecho, la visita de la ruta de los amigos de Hapchot Wheels y de Life Style and Motorcycles completaron un grupo de personas que suponen, hoy por hoy, la referencia del mundo del motor clásico en Europa.

5Special has started the 2019 season of motorcycles, more or less than in the French countryside. We return to the Last Light that arrives this year in its edition “Terre Rouge” honoring a circuit of reddish saber that was divided into two zones: one of enduro that passed between trees with ups and downs in zig-zags; and another one of motocross with banked curves to be able to give a lot of gas and zones that allowed long jumps. A perfect place to try our old engines and do enduro.
5Special has arrived in France to test its new bikes, the Honda CR125 Elsinore and the Yamaha IT425. The day presented impeccable with high temperatures and very good company. In the race both 2-stroke and 4-stroke motorcycles participated, as well as classic models from the 60s to the 90s – honoring our fight for vintage enduro – as well as more modern models. The enduro bikes were mixed with motocross bikes, fighting explosive power against more progressive machines and easier to carry although weighed down by a greater weight.
The batches went on until the barbecue time and in the afternoon the timed was done for the enjoyment of all the participants. There were the classic bikes such as the Honda XL600 Paris Dakar of Paul Duvignau who, despite the weight of his vehicle, managed to overcome the obstacles proving to be a real promise in this type of tests. We also saw some modified Honda Dominator and, of course, the already known Husqvarna 240VR Enduro Regis Guyot – a reference pilot in this world for its style and experience – or the model 400 Husqvarna (the first in water cooling ) from our new friend Henri Audibert, the true Steve Mcqueen. A pleasure to see the skill in the jumps of Christophe Canitrot in his new Triumph Tunderbird 650 of 1956. The Honda XL and the XR are still safe bets and they showed off in the circuit. The organizer of this event, Ivan Domingo of Rule Shaker, once again demonstrated his passion for this discipline with his Yamaha YZ 250 of 1987. The absence of mechanical problems and that there was no serious fall (if a failed jump that could be solved at the last moment) made the day go by very quickly. Very good drivers on the track and, once again, the 5Special family felt at home. In fact, the visit of the route of the friends of Hapchot Wheels and of Life Style and Motorcycles completed a group of people that suppose, at the present time, the reference of the world of the classic motor in Europe.
